We are pleased to be hosting Sharon Salzberg, world-renowned author and meditation teacher, for a live and online half-day retreat, based on her latest book, 'Real Life: The Journey from Isolation to Openness and Freedom'.

In the book, Sharon masterfully shines a light on the path to a more authentic and fulfilled life, through seeking connection with ourselves and each other. Her teachings reveals how we can live more fearlessly ― moving from constriction and isolation to a more spacious place of possibility, creativity, connection, and joy.

About the Retreat

This is a special opportunity to explore the themes outlined in the book and to be guided by Sharon’s wisdom in a live, online retreat setting. It will include contemplative techniques designed to help us explore the possibilities of living with deeper curiosity, authenticity, and freedom.

Drawing from decades of experience, Sharon will guide us in cultivating a sense of expansiveness that can release us from constraint and confinement that can weigh us down day to day. Through practice we can begin to remember the subtle balances in life and how these can be restored.

During the half-day retreat, we will explore how to:

  • Become aware of how our conditioned patterns keep us small and locked up.
  • Move from a fixed mindset to a place of inner spaciousness and freedom.
  • Cultivate an openness to greater possibilities, solutions, and outcomes.
  • Notice the delicate balance needed between forces such as rest and action, passion and letting go, power and patience, knowledge and intuition.
  • Build inner strength to turn toward the difficult feelings and emotions that hold us back.
  • Recognise our common humanity, interdependence, and how we can choose love as the force that connects, unites and heals us.
