  • Mindfulness for Women

For many women, wellbeing is closely connected to the menstrual cycle. Over the course of a single month, a range of hormone fluctuations play out in our bodies, triggering an influx of moods and emotions that impact our actions and judgements, and for some can also cause other symptoms of PMS and PMDD.

This workshop will introduce how the key skills and principles of mindfulness can help us navigate the female cycle with more ease and clarity. In this workshop, we will learn how to use the practice of menstrual cycle awareness to tune in and listen to our bodies and better regulate our energy and emotions.  Practicing menstrual cycle awareness helps us develop skilful ways of supporting ourselves with self-care and compassion as we move through all the highs and lows of our cycle.

By taking a mindful approach and bringing more awareness to our menstrual cycle and its different phases, we can:

  • Develop a greater sense of connection to our bodies and physical needs
  • Recognise patterns of moods and behaviours in each phase
  • Manage our energy in an efficient and sustainable way
  • Handle difficult emotions with greater ease
  • Cultivate practical methods of self-care in daily life
  • Adapt our expectations and plans to accommodate the times when we are likely to feel unwell or low in energy.
