Mindful Nature Connection - Chess Valley Walk

Mindful Nature Connection - Chess Valley Walk

More Views

Join us for a mindful winter walk in the countryside, where we will spend the day exploring the woods, hills, riverbanks of the Chess Valley in the Chilterns AONB – accessible from Central London via the Metropolitan line and other train routes.

The day will include periods of formal mindfulness practice, guided nature connection exercises, as well as periods of silence where we will take in the scenes and sensations of nature. With the guidance of the teacher, we will learn how to bring the qualities of mindfulness to our experience outdoors and engage all of our senses to connect with nature mindfully. In addition to offering the soothing benefits that nature connection is known to provide, it is also a lovely way to take a day off amidst the frantic holiday period to slow down, ground yourself, and reconnect with the spirit and elements of the season.

We will meet at the Chorleywood station and follow a pre-planned route through the Chess Valley. We will be stopping for lunch at a country pub (cost of food/drinks not included). The walk will end at the Chalfont & Latimer tube station.

- No prior mindfulness or nature connection experience is required.
- You will want to dress according to the weather – warm clothing (all-weather jacket, hat, scarf, gloves) as well as waterproof walking boots or shoes are recommended.
- We will be walking in the countryside for several hours over varied terrain, so the walk is not suitable for those with mobility constraints.
- Cost of food/drinks along the way is not included. You should bring your own water for the walk.
