When stressed, we often seek refuge in relaxation exercises such as breathing exercises. Yet stress management - with its implicit expectations of self-control - can itself cause stress. The ancient art of Anapanasati (which means simply mindfulness of breath as it is), is a stress-free approach to relaxation.
About the Workshop
In this original masterclass by Pavel Somov, you will learn to differentiate between control-focused approaches to breath-work (such as Pranayama and diaphragmatic breathing) and control-free, acceptance-focused approaches to breath-work.
With focus on control-free approaches, we will explore how we can take 'work' out of breath-work, while allowing a practitioner to use natural, spontaneous breath as a powerful focal point for mindfulness.
