About Search Inside Yourself

Search Inside Yourself is a mindfulness-based emotional intelligence training programme developed at Google, teaching mindfulness and emotional intelligence skills which lead to sustained peak performance, strong collaboration and effective leadership. 

The programme is designed for people working at different stages in their career  -- for senior leaders and executives, teams, managers and people new to the workplace. Designed and tested at Google, the SIY programme has been designed to improve focus, empathy and resilience, so that you can fully harness your potential and thrive in the workplace. It’s highly interactive and based on the latest neuroscience, mindfulness and emotional intelligence research, and will give you lots of take away tools and practices that you can integrate into the workplace and build new habits beyond the training.

Since its inception in 2007 Search Inside Yourself has been widely adopted by companies such as American Express, LinkedIn, Ford, or SAP among others and delivered to tens of thousands individuals across 50 countries.

About the workshop

This 1.5hr workshop, led by experienced Search Inside Yourself and mindfulness teacher Jean-Christophe, is an introduction to the full Search Inside Yourself programme. Hands-on and experiential, it integrates individual and group exercises. This introductory workshop will cover:

  • The key benefits and neuroscience of mindfulness and emotional intelligence.
  • The role of attention training in developing increased focus, self-awareness and self-regulation.
  • Foundational exercises to calm the mind and enhance focus, clarity and stability.

At the end of the workshop, information about the full programme will be given. For anyone who goes on to the full programme, the cost of this introductory event will be discounted.

Notes

  • No prior mindfulness experience is required.
  • This class will be held on a web-based platform (Zoom). 
  • The teacher and participants will be live and visible at various times. There will be group and one-to-one interaction as you would expect in a traditional classroom setting.
