  • Introduction to Mindfulness
There is a vast body of empirical evidence that demonstrates how mindfulness can help us self-regulate our moods and thoughts, become more resilient in the face of challenges, develop greater productivity, and restore a sense of balance. However, with the breadth of information presented to us, it can be challenging to know where to begin.

About the Workshop

Aimed at beginners or those that are unsure where to start, this interactive workshop has been developed to help participants explore how they might build mindfulness into their lives.

The workshop will begin with a short introduction to the theory of mindfulness and how it can lead to real and sustainable change. Attention will then shift to the practice itself with participants guided through a variety of differing exercises.

Practice will be interspersed with teacher-led group discussion to allow participants to start delving into their experience in greater depth.

Throughout the session, there will be plenty of time to ask questions about both the theoretical and practical aspects of mindfulness.

Participants Will Gain:

  • A better understanding of what mindfulness is and how it can be trained;
  • An understanding of how we can break the stress-reaction cycle that keeps us locked in old habits and unsustainable states; and
  • Practical tools to incorporate mindfulness into your everyday life
  • For those that are unsure if an eight-week mindfulness course is for them, this session will also provide a taster experience. It will touch upon tools and techniques, including course formats, to explore what developing a practice might look like beyond the workshop.
