New Year Mindful Journaling Course

New Year Mindful Journaling Course

More Views

The new year brings with it the best intentions to break old habits, learn new skills, be productive, get happy. We may set our resolutions without much thought, perhaps based on what we think we should be doing, other people’s ideals or set our goals too high, making it hard to maintain them.

Mindful Journaling is a powerful tool that can support us in finding lasting change. Through externalising and making sense of our experiences, reflecting on the past and setting intentions for the future we can maintain lots of small choices, lots of little moments, that when added together become powerful.

About the Workshop

This four-week course will explore how to use journaling exercises and core mindfulness values such as awareness, compassion, self-care and equanimity, to create a sustainable plan for the year ahead.

In learning to create intentions with purpose, participants will be equipped to maintain their learning well beyond the course.

Weekly sessions will include mindfulness practice, journaling exercises and group discussion and reflection. Between the course sessions there will be practices to do at home, helping to support an ongoing mindfulness and / or journaling practice.

You will explore:

  • How to use reflective practices to set achievable intentions for the future.
  • Journaling exercises to observe progress with our resolutions.
  • Core mindfulness values such as awareness, compassion and equanimity.
  • Mindfulness and journaling as tools for helping us maintain our intentions.
  • How to develop and maintain a reflective writing practice.
  • Establishing and/or maintaining a regular mindfulness practice.
