Insomnia is the result of being too physically or mentally aroused to fall asleep or stay asleep. There are many possible causes, but once the vicious cycle of insomnia is created our minds tend to perpetuate it. Mindfulness offers a way to interrupt the insomnia cycle by activating the parasympathetic nervous system (the ‘rest & digest’ side of our nervous systems), which allows our minds and bodies to relax naturally.

In this workshop you will:

  • Explore what maintains insomnia and how mindfulness can support your natural sleep
  • Learn mindfulness practices to help you relax and reduce the pre-sleep arousal
  • Understand the radical role of acceptance to break free from insomnia

In this highly experiential Webinar you will meet and interact with other people who also experience insomnia. You will have a chance to practice some of the core mindfulness techniques to reconnect with your body and achieve a better quality of sleep. You will also receive your own mindfulness for insomnia audio to maintain and deepen your practise after the course.
